Apgar Ambulance, LLC and AmbER Appraisals are today part of a multifaceted operation, with I.T. support for its multiple websites provided by a contract employee. The primary business is used ambulance sales supported by a Five (5) State new ambulance sales territory, and a 50 State used ambulance purchase and sales business at www.apgarambulance.com.
Principal, Steve Apgar spent many years in the Montana Highway Patrol and has previous experience as both an EMT, Emergency Manager and a Fire Marshal. In 1995, he became District Sales Manager for Wheeled Coach Ambulance and was later promoted to Area Sales Manager. For 13 years he had direct and/or supervisory responsibility for new ambulances sales in Wyoming, Montana, Colorado, Oregon, and Washington, Minnesota, New Mexico, and Arizona. Overall, he has 29 years of public safety experience with 17 of those years in ambulance sales.
Steve Apgar was able to obtain approximately 75% market share for new ambulance sales in Montana and Wyoming during most of his years in that territory for Wheeled Coach, Medtec and a one year contract with Demers Ambulances to develop a new Type 1 model for sale in the United States. Mr. Apgar has visited eight (8) ambulance manufacturing plants and driven over 300 ambulances in 48 States.
